What is Photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is the science of creating complex models with 2D images. While a rather broad definition, these models can take numerous forms. Here at KOALEIA Productions™ we specialize in aerial photogrammetry techniques such as surveying, mapping, and 3D models. The background pictured here is a depth map of an old Nevada mining complex.
Case Study #1
In the Seven Troughs -an abandoned mining complex in Nevada- there well over a hundred mineshafts that descend straight down. Many of these are unmarked with no surrounding signs of a potential mineshaft and pose a serious safety risk. Here KOALEIA Productions™ flew over the area with a drone to create a high resolution orthomosaic view.
